Rules
Plain-English rules for bidding on a DomainThrone homepage. Paying means you agree to these and the Terms.
What you get when you win
- A 24-hour homepage placement on that specific parked domain: your URL and pitch shown to visitors.
- The clock starts when Stripe marks the payment paid (not when you open Checkout).
- You do not get the domain name, DNS, email, WHOIS, SSL cert control, or any ownership rights.
- Traffic is whatever the parked domain already gets — we don't promise visits, rankings, or sales.
Bidding & money
- Minimum bid and step size are shown on each lander (Phase 1 default: $5 minimum, $1 steps, whole dollars).
- To take an active throne you must beat the current amount by at least one step.
- No refunds. Every successful payment is a sunk cost — including if you are outbid a minute later.
- Outbid = previous winner loses the remaining time; the new winner gets a fresh 24 hours.
- Equal bids do not displace the current winner.
Content you may show
- This is a paid ad / paid placement. Say so clearly if you reuse the creative elsewhere.
- Your destination URL must be https, publicly reachable, and not a redirect chain into malware.
- Not allowed: NSFW/porn, phishing, malware, scams, counterfeit goods, pharma/cannabis pitches, gambling creatives, hate, harassment, or impersonating brands/people.
- We may remove a placement immediately for rules, law, Stripe risk, or trademark complaints — usually without refund when removed for cause.
Operator rights
- Mark may vacate any throne, pause bidding, or take a domain offline for maintenance or abuse.
- Inventory can change; a domain listed today might not be listed tomorrow.
